SEVEN COMMANDMENTS

for the 21st century:
1.DO NOT put faith in traditions, even though they have been accepted for long generations and in many countries.
2.DO NOT believe a thing because many repeat it.
3.DO NOT accept a thing on the authority of one of the sages of old, nor on the ground that a statement is found in books.
4.DO NOT believe anything because probability is in its favour.
5.DO NOT believe that which you have imagined, thinking a god inspired it.
6.DO NOT believe merely on the authority of teachers, priests and politicians.
BUT
7.BELIEVE that which you have tested for yourself, which is based on evidence, which you have found reasonable and which is in conformity with your wellbeing and that of others.
